We have recently been informed by DAAD (Germany) on the positive outcome of our application for full PhD scholarship opportunities in Higher Education Studies at the Higher Education Training and Development, University of Kwazulu-Natal (Durban, South Africa), to applicants from Sub-Saharan Africa.
As we are anticipating half-a-dozen opportunities from DAAD, we thought of communicating to the larger higher education community on the possibilities of extending this number (to about 10 to 12 students) in the programme starting in 2018 to create a good and solid PhD cohort. We are thus inviting interested stakeholders to contact us directly to participate in supporting (all or some) students to join the DAAD fellows to help build a robust cohort of a new generation of African researchers, experts, and policy makers specializing in higher education.
N.B.: We’ll soon announce the application guidelines for DAAD scholarship formally.
